About me

Through the lens of Filip Pechevski, photography transforms into a dialogue—a poetic exploration of identity, nature, and the stories that connect us all.

Filip Pechevski

Filip Pechevski (b. 11.11.1988, Skopje, North Macedonia) is a visual storyteller whose journey bridges journalism and the arts. After studying journalism and working as a reporter for the national TV station A1, Filip moved to Belgium in 2011 and there he finds his passion for photography.

A graduate of the renowned École de Photo Agnès Varda in Brussels, Filip’s graduation project Zajdi, zajdi and a commissioned series capturing the essence of the 4,500-hectare Sonian Forest earned him the Jury Prize in 2020. That same year, his evocative work debuted at the Promenades Photographiques festival in Vendôme, France, where he received the Marc Grosset Public Prize for Zajdi, zajdi.

Filip’s artistry continued to captivate audiences, with an exhibition at the Chapelle Saint-Jacques in Vendôme in 2021, followed by a showcase of his Sonian Forest series at Bruxelles Environnement’s headquarters in Tour & Taxis, Brussels, in 2022.

In June 2023, Filip was invited to share his expertise as a jury panelist for the photography department of the École Secondaire Artistique Saint-Luc Tournai in Belgium, solidifying his role as both an artist and mentor.
